What type of light does Noble BLK work best in?
Noble BLK is an extremely versatile preset. It really saves the day in less than ideal lighting situations and beautifully amplifies emotion. Whether you’re working with harsh sun or unflattering tungsten light, BLK and it’s included Enhancers are an easy fix lending a fine art aesthetic.
How should I expose for Noble BLK?
We recommend exposing properly for your subjects. If you prefer more contrast and mood, take your exposure down a stop or two and adjust in post to your liking. For a softer, light and airy look, we’d suggest upping your exposure by a stop.
Does Noble BLK work on both RAW and JPEG images?
Noble BLK was created for RAW images, which provide a greater range of adjustment in post-processing. However, you can apply BLK to .JPEG images and still achieve a similar look with some adjustments. Users have also been loving Noble BLK on film images because of the Illford Delta similarities they achieve.
With Noble BLK, can I change the amount of grain applied to the image?
Yes, we offer four different grain options, including a “no-grain” option so you can create the mood and feeling you prefer in black and white imagery.
